A foundation in formation

Someone beside you in the early years.

Raymond G. Glemser II is establishing the Glemser Foundation to stand beside people at the start of something: a first career, a first company. Its roots are in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley.

When? Setup is under way now. The mission will be formalized in 2027, and every program will be published before it opens.

Who we hope to serve

People at the start of something.

Young professionals finding their footing. First-time founders learning everything at once. The early years, when a steady mentor and good money habits matter most.

Who is eligible for each program will be published before it opens.

What we plan to do

Four ways the Foundation intends to help.

None of these is open yet. Who each is for, how people would be chosen and how to take part will be published before anything begins.

Planned

Mentoring and community

Mentors who have built businesses, and a community of founders learning from one another, so no one works out the early years alone.

Planned

Grants to individuals

Grants to young professionals and entrepreneurs, with recipients chosen under criteria published in advance and applied the same way to everyone.

Planned

Forgivable loans

A loan that comes with structure: track your finances, meet a mentor each month, and have your progress reviewed each quarter.

Planned, later

Support for young companies

Later, help for young companies whose founders fit the mission, such as loans or small investments made to further its purpose, not for profit.

Our approach

Structure, guidance and a finish line.

Money helps. It rarely helps on its own. The Foundation is being built to pair support with the things that make it last.

  1. Structure

Commitments agreed at the start: what to track, when to meet, what good progress looks like. Habits are easier to keep once they are written down.

  2. Guidance

A mentor who meets you each month, looks at the real numbers with you, and helps you think through the next decision.

  3. A finish line

Progress reviewed each quarter, with a clear picture of what finishing looks like, so steady effort has somewhere to go.

Where things stand

Founding first. Then the rules. Then the programs.

Everything described here is planned. The Glemser Foundation is in formation, with its mission to be formalized in 2027. It is not yet incorporated or recognized as tax-exempt, and it is not accepting applications or donations.

  1. Now (Current stage)

    Founding and setup

The Foundation is being established. Its legal formation and governance are being put in place, and its mission will be formalized in 2027.

  2. Next

    Programs published

Before anything opens, the Foundation will publish who each program is for, how people would be chosen, and how to take part.

  3. Then

    Programs begin

Mentoring, grants and forgivable loans would begin once the Foundation is ready to run them well. Support for young companies would follow later.
